Events

School events bring learning to life and play an important role in shaping our school culture. They give students the chance to build confidence, connect with others, and celebrate their achievements. Events also provide families with meaningful opportunities to be part of school life and share in their child’s journey.

At Bathurst Public School, our events include:

an annual school concert at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre
sports carnivals
open classrooms and school tours
Harmony Week, NAIDOC, Easter Hat Parade and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
participation in Schools Spectacular, Festival of Choral Music and eisteddfods
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

Grandparents Day: Wisdom & Wonder

Date: Friday, 30th October

We warmly invite all grandparents and special people in our students' lives to join us at Bathurst Public School for our Grandparents Day: Wisdom & Wonder celebration.

The day will begin with performances from our Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 Dance Troupes at 11.30am under the COLA, followed by open classrooms from 12.00pm–1.20pm, where grandparents can spend time with their grandchildren and enjoy a range of special activities.

As part of our Wisdom & Wonder Wall, grandparents will be invited to share a piece of advice, a favourite childhood memory or something they've learned in life. These contributions will be collected and displayed around our school, celebrating the wisdom and experiences shared across generations.

There will also be a free Grandparents Raffle, with visiting grandparents receiving a ticket for the chance to win some special prizes.

We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and special visitors to BPS for this wonderful celebration!
