Events

School events bring learning to life and play an important role in shaping our school culture. They give students the chance to build confidence, connect with others, and celebrate their achievements. Events also provide families with meaningful opportunities to be part of school life and share in their child’s journey.

At Bathurst Public School, our events include:

an annual school concert at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre
sports carnivals
open classrooms and school tours
Harmony Week, NAIDOC, Easter Hat Parade and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
participation in Schools Spectacular, Festival of Choral Music and eisteddfods
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

Colour Run

Date: Friday, 17th October

Time: 2:10-2:50 pm

Mark your calendars! Our Colour Run will be held on Friday, 17th October (Week 1) from 2:10–2:50pm. This exciting, fun-filled event is always a highlight for students and families alike, with plenty of colour, energy and smiles. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate fitness and community while supporting our school, fundraising for our Schools Spectacular performers.

Grandparent's Day and Open Classrooms

Date: Friday, 24th October

Time: 12:00 pm

We are excited to welcome grandparents and special friends to Grandparents Day on Friday, 24th October (Week 2). Following performances from our Dance Troupes at 12 noon, classrooms will be open for visits from 12:15pm, giving our students the chance to proudly share their learning.
This year, we’re also inviting grandparents to leave a lasting legacy through Grandparent Book Donations. A selection of books will be available to purchase in the library, each with a special book plate inside to commemorate the gift. What a wonderful way to grow our library and honour our families!
