Events

School events bring learning to life and play an important role in shaping our school culture. They give students the chance to build confidence, connect with others, and celebrate their achievements. Events also provide families with meaningful opportunities to be part of school life and share in their child’s journey.

At Bathurst Public School, our events include:

an annual school concert at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre
sports carnivals
open classrooms and school tours
Harmony Week, NAIDOC, Easter Hat Parade and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
participation in Schools Spectacular, Festival of Choral Music and eisteddfods
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

SRC Community Heroes Dress-Up Day

Date: Friday, 26th June

Our SRC are coordinating a Community Heroes Dress Up Day on Friday 26th June. Students are encouraged to dress up as a person in the community that they see as a hero, eg: emergency services, doctors, nurses, vets, postal workers, sports coaches, safety crossing supervisor, retail workers, tradespeople, teachers, security, etc. Students will need to wear enclosed shoes, warm clothing, and a school hat. Students are also encouraged to create a poster, a card or write a letter to the community hero of their choice and bring it to school on the day.

2026 School Concert

Date: Wednesday, 6th August

Our much-anticipated School Concert is coming up in Term 3! This year's theme is 'Movie Icons'. Be on the lookout for details about ticket sales soon!
